Ironwood Montessori Academy is a warm, vibrant, and child-centered learning environment committed to nurturing the whole child. Rooted in the Montessori philosophy, we serve children from 12 months to 6 years old. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced A.M.I Head Teacher to lead one of our Infant/Toddler Classrooms.
POSITION TYPE

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare courses for presentation to students according to approved AMI Montessori Infant/Toddler curriculum
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents to maintain a collaborative educational environment
- Organize and manage school activities, events, and programs
- Educate and mentor children ages 1-3 years to support their academic and personal growth
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Experience working with children to create a supportive learning environment
- Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops
- May supervise assistants, teacher’s aides and student teachers
QUALIFICATIONS
- A.M.I Montessori Infant/ Toddler Diploma
- ECE/IT Certification
- Current First Aid certification
- Criminal record check required
- Minimum two years of Montessori teaching experience
- Must be completely fluent in reading, writing and speaking English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization abilities to manage classroom effectively

QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid ECE, ECEA, or Responsible Adult Certification
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Previous experience working with young children is an asset, but not required
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- A caring, adaptable, and professional approach to working with children and families
